Outreach Groups

Volunteers who want to make a positive difference in our community are involved in a number of projects. Some projects are unique to our Center, while others provide assistance to outside community groups.

• Habitat for Humanity
• Prison Ministry
• Hope House
• Second Harvest

Church Committees

Leader: Coordinate with Rev Dyann

Church committees assist with Center administration activities. They are usually made up of folks who have special skills like legal, accounting and organization. Committees provide a volunteer infrastructure necessary to run and grow our Center.

Sunday Service Teams

Leader: Coordinate with Rev Lynn

Each Sunday service provides a number of opportunities for members to serve in our ministry. The teams are usually made up of a team leader and several members. Teams currently setup up the meeting room, participate in the service and provide hospitality.

Examples:

• The Setup/Greeter Team gets the meeting room ready by passing out programs, setting up bookstore, setting up the PA system, ushering and greeting people when they arrive.
• The Reader Team participates by reading a passage from the SOM Textbook.
• The Bookstore Team assists with purchases of books and CDs.
• The Hospitality Team provides refreshments such as coffee and cookies.
